For the very first time, A Free Bird was honored with a Mayoral Recognition Award, a milestone moment for the organization. The award ceremony took place at the historic Gracie Mansion, in a beautiful event that celebrated volunteers from across New York City who dedicated the most hours to uplifting their communities. Representing A Free Bird, Godni stood alongside board member Kalpana Patel and manager Erika Wang, who also received an award for her unwavering support of children affected by cancer. It was an evening of gratitude, pride, and inspiration—marking a new chapter in the organization’s mission to empower through art.
